How to Play Pick 4 (Ontario)

On each ticket there are 5 panels, each containing 4 columns numbered 0 to 9, which are called Boards. Up to 5 Boards can be played on each ticket, with a choice of wagering $10, $5, $2 or $1 on each Board.

Mark one number in each of the 3 columns for the number of Boards you choose to play. If you would rather have the numbers randomly chosen for you, use the Quick Pick system.

You must also mark on the ticket whether you want to win by Straight Play or Box Play. In Straight Play, to win your numbers must match the four-digit number drawn in exact order. In Box Play, players match the four-digit number drawn in any order. For Box Play, the digits you select determine whether the 4-Way, 6-Way, 12-Way or 24-Way Box Play applies.

Up to 10 consecutive game draws can be played in advance on the one ticket.

Win by:

Straight Play: All four digits must match the winning digits in the order they're drawn (e.g. 9547)

4-Way Box Play: All four digits must match the winning digits drawn in any order, where three of the digits are the same (e.g. 8886)

6-Way Box Play: All four digits must match the winning digits drawn in any order, where two sets of digits are the same (e.g. 3773)

12-Way Box Play: All four digits must match the winning digits drawn in any order, where two of the digits are the same (e.g. 6604)

24-Way Box Play: All four digits must match the winning digits drawn in any order, where all 4 digits are different (e.g. 5079)
